Miss Bella’s Italian Ice began with a dream, a love for community, and a desire to bring something fun and refreshing to local events. Founded by Viette Aikens and daughter, Alexis Aikens in January 2020, the business was just getting started when the world unexpectedly changed.
Our very first event took place in March 2020. The event coordinator mentioned that the crowd seemed unusually small for what is normally a huge annual gathering. At the time, we had no idea why. Just days later, the entire country began shutting down as the COVID-19 pandemic swept across the nation.
Like many small businesses that launched during that uncertain time, Miss Bella’s Italian Ice had to pause almost as soon as it began. For several months the truck stayed quiet while communities everywhere adjusted to new realities.
But Miss Bella’s was built on perseverance and heart.
In September 2020, with new safety guidelines and restrictions in place, we came back. We showed up serving smiles, sweet frozen treats, and a little bit of joy during a time when people needed it most.
Today, Miss Bella’s Italian Ice continues to bring families and communities together at festivals, school events, neighborhood gatherings, and celebrations. What started during one of the most challenging moments for small businesses has grown into something truly special.
At Miss Bella’s Italian Ice, every cup is more than a frozen treat. It’s a reminder that even in difficult times, sweetness can still be found.
Viette and Alexis Aikens serve premium layered Italian ice from their mobile trailer, bringing color, flavor, and fun to every event across the Charleston area. And yes, the business is named after their favorite pup, Miss Bella!

We recommend booking at least 2–3 weeks in advance, especially during spring and summer when our calendar fills up fast. Need something last-minute? Reach out anyway! We’ll do our best to make it work.
We serve the greater Charleston area including North Charleston, Summerville, West Ashley, Mount Pleasant, James Island, Goose Creek, and surrounding communities. For events outside this area, contact us and we’ll work something out!
Yes, a deposit is required to secure your event date. The amount varies depending on the size and type of event. We’ll provide all the details when we confirm your booking.
Everything! Our fully stocked trailer, a friendly team, a selection of signature flavors, cups, spoons, napkins, and a colorful experience your guests will love. You just pick the date. We handle the rest.
Both options are available! Guests can purchase individually at the event, or the host can pre-pay for a set number of servings. We’ll help you figure out the best option for your event.
We understand plans can change. Cancellations made more than 7 days before the event receive a full deposit refund. For cancellations within 7 days, please reach out and we’ll do our best to work with you.
It’s simple! When a school books us for a fundraising event, we donate 10% of all sales from that event directly back to the school. No extra effort on your end. Just book, and we handle the rest.
